So the big question; How did this recording studio get here? Well, that is simple to answer; I built it. Yep, every screw and nail, I did it all. So why? Out of need. I needed a place to jam out with my friends and had some time on my hands due to COVID. We broke ground and “Casamigos” was born. It means “House of Friends”. Anyone that steps into this magical place is a friend. That’s how we work here as well. It’s always a team effort. You may notice that I say “we” a lot. That is because of how I work. Even the song is part of the team. With everybody working together, creating, learning, experimenting, laughing, and having fun; magic is going to happen.

We want to capture the performance. Sometimes I am just the lucky one who gets to hit the record button and watch the magic happen. We want to capture the emotion of the song. This is why for example, we capture vocals as a whole performance. I believe if you have a certain word in your lyrics. There is emotion attached to that paticular word. In order to get the emotion out of that word, you have to sing all the other words prior to it. I hope that makes sense, it does in my mind at least (ha).
